1. L. Lvovich (А.Л. Львович) was a wealthy landowner in Upper Udinsk in Russia, however he was swept up in the mass immigration during World War I.

He arrived in Harbin and for the next five years served as a guard at the Jewish Community receiving a salary of 25-30 dollars per month. He died alone in the basement of a Jewish public building.
